In an attempt to bring you Singapore, at least the way I see it. I’m starting a photowalk series. First stop, around the area where I stay, Bedok. This is my daily surrounding here. These shots were taken at around 9:30-12:00 AM.

To Bedok MRT.

That’s the MRT above.

On my way to the bus interchange.

Hawker near the bus interchange. Hawker is the name given to food centers housing stalls that sell cheap foods. I’ve never tried eating here before. The stalls are all closed now but usually this place is so crowded.

Whilst I think I’m late, this is my contribution for The Blog Action Day. This year’s theme is about poverty. I’m writing here quickly in a very casual way.
I remember when I first put up a blog (not octwelve), my second post was about this baby who is in need of a very rare and expensive milk to survive, and this milk can only be bought overseas. He is one of the many poor babies in the foundation that I support. But that time, monetary donations is not enough. So I emailed the people overseas that I know if they know the milk and if I could buy from them and ship it to me. It’s so difficult to get that milk. And I tried to blog about it too. But the thing is it’s just a second post. I don’t think I have enough credibility by that time. Although I have the video of the baby posted too, that blog is not very popular. So to make my long story short, my blog to find milk for the baby is not successful :(
Now I’m thinking, I hope I can use this blog to raise funds for that foundation. And I could sponsor other charitable institutions as well. Nice idea right? But I think to do that, I need some permit. Hmm let’s see.
And now we are talking about this. I’ve been searching for years for this orphanage in the Philippines which adopts babies till 2 years old. I forgot the name, House of Angels or something. If you know it, do let me know. I hope this reaches them too.
I think this is one of the many ways to make use of technology to fight against poverty or atleast try to help those who are currently in need.
PS: The baby found his milk and survived :)

I’ve been receiving emails asking about L, L, L. Yup, no one asked about me! They’re all crazy about L! When I was introduced to my new friends, first thing they asked was “Where is L?” And when I took him out of my bag, they went crazy and had pictures with him and I’m out of the picture all of a sudden. lol
I just realized I haven’t introduced who L really is. That’s because somebody sent me an email saying that’s he’s going crazy thinking how on earth I get a small version of me haha.
First off, L doesn’t stand for “Luc”. L is definitely not me, like some of you have assumed. ^_^ He’s a him and I’m a she :P Anyway, L is a character from Death Note anime series. The only info I will give you is..he’s the best detective in the world. Death Note is a damn good anime series. It’s one of best anime of all time. If you haven’t seen it yet, I suggest that you get a copy of the anime series and the live action film. If you loved L here, you’ll love him even more if you see him in action!
This L toy is called a Nendoroid and it’s produced by Good Smile Company. Go get yourself nendoroids too! They’re super cute ^_^
Here’s a few more pics of L. I know you guys enjoy him :) Some shots were taken by my friend Kala, who also misses L more than me! Damn! L, you’re stealing my lime light! :p
