About 2 months ago I received a dubious email from a gentleman claiming to work at .Net Magazine. He asked me if it would be ok to publish a feature on my site… Now at the time, Branded07 was just kicking off and I had barely started getting my first visitors. Me being sceptical and all, didn’t really believe it.

It was quite some time back that I fell out of love with Flash. I was really pushing for accessibility with the design and build of my sites, and Flash just didn’t quite sit right with me and what I was aiming to achieve, so I near enough dropped it completely from my designs.
There are so many nice lightweight Javascript frameworks now a days, mootools, jquery, scriptaculous to name a few, that allow us to do so many nice effects that once were only possible with Flash. Fading buttons, gallerys, slides and so on can now all be achieved by a much more accessible route.

Yesterday I was invited to submit my site to be entered into the Wordpress Freedom Blog competition, so I thought hell! Why not! What have I got to lose anyway? It is a competition based around cool Wordpress blog designs so I will be up against a tough crowd! I know myself from trolling around a whole host of design galleries that there are some beautiful blog designs out there.
